South Jersey Radiology Associates Selects
Dynamic Imaging's IntegradWeb

Advanced PACS to Deliver Full Integration with WebMD
and Unique Fault-Tolerant Architecture

Allendale, N.J., July 12, 2004 — Dynamic Imaging has been selected by South Radiology Associates (SJRA), a prestigious practice with eight multi-imaging centers, to implement an advanced web-driven PACS with a -developed fault-tolerant architecture and deep integration with WebMD's RIS.

Dynamic Imaging's IntegradWeb PACS will be deployed across the entire practice to enhance workflow and enable ultra-fast image communication among SJRA's 40 radiologists. "This is a complex and demanding environment," said Edward Petrella, MD, CEO and president for SJRA. "Dynamic Imaging demonstrated both the advanced technology and the willingness to develop a customized implementation that will meet our needs. Our practice group is extremely large and offers a full range of today's data-intensive modalities, including PET/CT and 16-slice CT as well as such data-intensive imaging applications as coronary CTA and cardiac MRI. A key goal of the PACS will be to facilitate ultra-fast workflow by managing these images and integrating seamlessly with our RIS."

Also important will be the design and implementation of Dynamic Imaging's innovative Fault-Tolerant Grid Architecture enabling each center to continue to function independently if the connection to the central server experiences temporary failure. Once the connection is re-established, the PACS will then automatically resynchronize each site with the central server.

"When our current PACS fails, workflow slows dramatically," said Dr. Petrella. "From experience, we know that engineering a PACS for uptime is crucial for a practice of our size."

When selecting a vendor, SJRA also looked for integrated web-based 3-D processing to full-fidelity images for its radiologists. Many are sub-specialists who rotate among the multiple offices. The practice also plans to offer referring physicians similar web access to high-resolution images and a full range of tools.

"IntegradWeb will provide our clinicians and referring doctors with complete image accessibility and functionality from any computer over our network and the Internet," explains Dr. Petrella. "Its web-driven architecture delivers the same user-friendly working environment and ultra-fast image viewing and manipulation wherever clinicians are located."

Before selecting Dynamic Imaging, SJRA conducted an in-depth vendor search, which involved RFQs, detailed vendor presentations and site visits. "We are proud to have been chosen by South Jersey Radiology Associates, one of the most prestigious practices in the Northeast, to enhance their delivery of high-quality healthcare," comments Alex Jurovitsky, Dynamic Imaging CEO. "South Jersey's physicians have been recognized with many honors and awards and represent some of the most advanced and prominent radiologists in the area."
