EPIC Imaging Selects IntegradWeb PACS

Cites Advanced Web-Driven Clinical Functionality
and Data Migration Experience

Allendale, N.J., November 24, 2004 — Dynamic Imaging has been selected by EPIC Imaging, a leader in innovative diagnostic imaging technology, and the largest provider of free-standing imaging services in Oregon, to implement its advanced web-driven PACS to deliver integrated image-interpretation and image-processing capabilities to its radiologists, and thousands of referring physicians.

A fully Web-driven PACS, IntegradWeb will integrate several disparate applications into a single interpretation environment for EPIC's radiologists, providing one-click access to documents, visualization tools, and speech-recognition capabilities. Local radiologists, remote radiologists and all referring physicians will have identical access, completely customizable to satisfy individual preferences.

"EPIC has long been in the forefront of imaging technology in Oregon, adopting advanced digital imaging technologies as they emerge, to better serve our patients and their physicians," said Gerald L. Warnock, M.D., EPIC's Medical Director. "We are committed to being a leader in diagnostic imaging technology, and it was important for us to partner with a company with an equal commitment to being a leader in image-processing technologies and advanced Web-driven information distribution technologies." The system will allow EPIC to continue to provide the highest quality of care for its patients as well as providing superior service to all of its clients.

John Griffith, EPIC's CIO, comments, "We have a very large amount of accumulated data in our current PACS system, and we wanted our PACS partner to have deep experience in migrating such volumes of data without compromising our uptime or the integrity of the data. Dynamic Imaging was also very open to developing the unique tools necessary to optimize workflow efficiency at EPIC. Dynamic Imaging's expertise in both of these areas and IntegradWeb's architecture will allow us to achieve these goals, and we look forward to a highly collaborative relationship that will rapidly push the innovation curve."

EPIC is an all-digital practice including PET, PET/CT and digital mammography, and had key requirements that allow virtually every diagnostic capability to be available at every workstation or PC, including CT-PET fusion, MIP and MPR with 3D volume visualization to handle very large CT datasets. "Not only does IntegradWeb offer these capabilities, it allows us to provide these capabilities to our remote radiologists without having to invest in proprietary single-function workstation hardware," adds Griffith.

"We are delighted to have been selected by a practice with such a prominent presence in Oregon," said Alex Jurovitsky, CEO of Dynamic Imaging. "We expect our collaboration with EPIC to be key to maintaining our technology leadership, and to bringing even more integrated capabilities to busy radiologists."
