SCAR 2005: Dynamic Imaging Introduces Image-Display
and
Manipulations for Ultra-Large Datasets, and Workflow Improvements
for Radiologists and Referring Clinician
Orlando, FL,
June 2, 2005 — Specialized memory-management technology
for visualizing ultra-large datasets, and workflow improvements
for radiologists and referring clinicians, highlight Version
3.5 of Dynamic Imaging's 100% web-driven IntegradWeb PACS system,
introduced today at the 2005 Annual Meeting of the Society for
Computer Applications in Radiology (SCAR).
Especially with the rapid deployment
of multi-detector CT scanners, imaging departments are very
commonly producing studies with thousands of images, and viewing
these on standard PACS workstations has typically been a hurdle
for PACS vendors. With innovative architecture and memory-management
technologies, IntegradWeb now allows users with standard PC's
to easily view and manipulate studies with thousands of images. "When a study has thousands
of images, and particularly when an embedded 3D application is
also invoked, most applications would deliver performance that
was extremely sluggish at best," said Jeff Carson, Director
of Marketing. "With our innovative and groundbreaking technology,
radiologists can now not only view these images satisfactorily,
but also simultaneously load and run our sophisticated 3D applications
with no performance degradation."
Other key capabilities introduced at SCAR
2005 are:
- An improved Patient Folder, allowing for
quick and flexible navigation, allowing users to easily -leaf
through- reports, scanned documents, or key images, for any
study for that patient, without excessive mouse-clicks or study-loading.
- Enterprise
CD-burning, allowing any authorized user to burn a CD with
an embedded viewer, either locally or at any central CD-burner.
- Enhanced
Tech workflow, allowing for rapid QA of studies at any PC.
- Customer-selectable
compression ratios, variable by modality and age of study.
- Sophisticated
Hanging Protocols, based on modality, study and series description,
and scan parameters.
- E-Mail Distribution of Reports and Key Images,
allowing referring clinicians to view and compare reports or
key images from multiple studies, and to view the entire study
with a single click.
"We see these new enhancements as addressing many of the
key challenges facing radiologists and, especially, radiology
departments today," comments Alex Jurovitsky, CEO of Dynamic
Imaging.
"Dynamic Imaging is providing
solutions for effective analysis, management and archiving
of ultra-large image datasets, enhanced communication with
referring physicians and streamlined access to diagnostic tools
and studies."
