St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center Selects
Dynamic
Imaging IntegradWeb PACS
Cites Web-driven capabilities and customer
service as key
February 14,
2005, Allendale, NJ — St. Catherine of Siena Medical
Center (Smithtown, NY), a 311-bed hospital offering a full range
of advanced medical and surgical care, has selected Dynamic Imaging's
IntegradWeb PACS to meet the needs of its fast-paced radiology
department and enable efficient communications beyond the enterprise.
St. Catherine will rely on IntegradWeb to provide its radiologists
with streamlined access to studies and complete PACS functionality
on its hospital-based workstations as well as at a range of off-site
locations. Ultra-fast, efficient communications with referring
physicians and other specialists both on- and off-site also was
a key goal of the installation.
"We provide a wide range of radiology services to our community.
We needed a PACS solution that would enable us to provide precise
diagnoses to referring physicians and their patients as efficiently
as possible," says Matthew Rifkin, MD, chief of radiology
at St. Catherine. "We chose IntegradWeb because we felt
that its open Web-driven architecture provided the best platform
to achieve our goals."
The hospital also felt IntegradWeb's open Web-based architecture
would allow the PACS to evolve and grow with the hospital into
the future, making the most of its technology investment.
St. Catherine of Siena is the third member hospital of Catholic
Health Services of Long Island (CHSLI) to select IntegradWeb
PACS. CHSLI comprised of five hospitals, three nursing homes,
a regional home care and hospice network and a community based
agency for persons with special needs.
"The success of our existing PACS installations at the
Catholic Health Services hospital system has lead to a growing
partnership with the organization," comments Alex Jurovitsky,
CEO of Dynamic Imaging. "IntegradWeb technology has met
their image management and communications needs across the enterprise
and beyond, and our ongoing commitment to customer service has
helped Catholic Health Services hospitals make the most of their
transition to digital radiology. We are gratified that they have
continued to take advantage of their relationship with our organization."
