Dynamic Imaging to Unveil Digital Mammography Integration
at RSNA 2006
Acclaimed IntegradWeb Showcased with New 3D, PET/CT, Ortho
and RIS/PACS Functionality
Allendale, NJ, October 12, 2006—Dynamic Imaging, an established leader in Web-based image and information management, will feature its latest IntegradWeb® PACS integration—digital mammography—at RSNA 2006, providing complete interpretation flexibility for radiologists. Since the benchmark Digital Mammographic Imaging Screening Trial (DMIST) found digital mammography to be more accurate than film-screen mammography for a considerable percentage of women in the trial, an increasing amount of facilities have invested in digital mammography and have expressed their intent to integrate digital mammography interpretation into overall radiology workflow, to include PACS.
Dynamic Imaging’s IntegradWeb PACS digital mammography capabilities include complete digital mammography specific workflows that include customizable reading layouts and sequences for any third-party full-field digital mammography system. Reinforcing IntegradWeb’s strong history of development and validation against established and emerging IHE standards, IntegradWeb’s FDA-cleared digital mammography functionality has been developed to support the new IHE mammography profile, including image manager and image display actors. (Testing will occur at the IHE 2007 Connectathon in January 2007).
Also included is support for digital mammography computer aided detection (CAD). CAD markings are applied to the original digital mammography study and can be archived for future reference. Because digital mammography studies are treated like all other modalities, they can take advantage of the rich functionality of IntegradWeb PACS to include anywhere access, saving key images for best-in-class referring physicians’ print pages, as well as portable data for imaging (PDI)-compliant CD burning and importation of outside PDI CDs.
Additional Capabilities and Integrations
Dynamic Imaging will also be spotlighting its latest IntegradWeb PACS integrations featuring Barco Voxar 3D™ VesselMetrix. This new functionality, available as an optional software package, is an advanced visualization solution for stenosis measurement, stent and stent-graft planning, and stent-graft surveillance of the aorta, carotid, and renal arteries all within the cohesive, anywhere accessible, Web-based user interface of IntegradWeb PACS. Implementation of VesselMetrix includes quantitative vessel analysis for CTA and MRA, and will enhance existing 3D capabilities.
Additionally, IntegradWeb PACS will be shown with enhanced PET-CT functionality, which includes the display of multiple, simultaneous, three-dimensional PET-CT views for the reading radiologist. All of these views, as well as the views described above for Barco Voxar 3D VesselMetrix, may be saved as print pages for referring physicians and accessed anywhere an Internet connection is available.
Addressing the burgeoning orthopedic PACS marketplace, Dynamic Imaging will also introduce IntegradWeb Ortho. IntegradWeb Ortho uses the proven technology and consistent graphical user interface of IntegradWeb PACS in an easy-to-use version with features used every day in the orthopedic imaging environment. IntegradWeb Ortho offers tight Web-based integration to Orthocrat TraumaCad™ and requires no preexisting specialty software to be loaded on the local client station prior to viewing. In addition to surgical planning and orthopedic templating, a powerful, optional cross-sectional visualization package is available for orthopedic practices also employing MR as part of their imaging modality portfolio.
The All Inclusive, Unified Solution
Dynamic Imaging will also demonstrate its IntegradWeb RIS/PACS, which represents an integrated, single-desktop RIS/PACS featuring end-to-end Web-based workflow from scheduling through billing, with document management and digital dictation. This end-to-end workflow expands upon the Web-based architecture of IntegradWeb PACS, fulfilling the complete Web-based workflow needs of ambulatory settings (e.g., imaging centers, ambulatory care facilities, radiology group practices) regardless of size and complexity.
IntegradWeb RIS/PACS offers three primary benefits for ambulatory facilities:
- A single user-interface desktop to extend enterprise-wide image and information access, to improve diagnostic accuracy, and to accelerate turnaround time for radiology interpretation
- Complete sets of operational, business, and clinical data to reduce rejected/denied claims for rapid payment
- A unified dashboard with access to all patient and business information to deliver more efficient practice operations, optimize service delivery to referring physicians, and improve patient care
*IntegradWeb
RIS/PACS is targeted for general availability in Q1 2007, pending
the completion of beta installations.
A New Way of Thinking
Dynamic Imaging is focused on educating radiologists and their organizations about how IntegradWeb PACS and RIS/PACS solutions enable radiologists worldwide to read using the most capable, feature-rich diagnostic workstations available, supported by solutions that have received accolades by independent analysts such as KLAS and MD Buyline.
Far too often, radiologists and their organizations compromise when purchasing PACS, instead choosing less-than-optimal solutions. But patient care cannot and must not be compromised. With comprehensive functionality available through an advanced Web-based platform, and enhanced by the exclusive Boost referring-physician marketing program, Dynamic Imaging can care for your image unlike any other vendor in the marketplace today.
