Orange Regional Medical Center
Chooses Dynamic Imaging IntegradWeb® PACS
Premier New York City Area Acute Care and Ambulatory Institutions
Continue to Rely on IntegradWeb PACS
Allendale, NJ, July 27, 2006—Dynamic Imaging, an established leader in Web-based image and information management, announced today that it has been chosen to implement IntegradWeb PACS at Orange Regional Medical Center ("Orange Regional") in Middletown, NY. With Orange Regional's signing, Dynamic Imaging's dominant regional market position has been reinforced to a total of 33 acute care and ambulatory customers within a 2-hour drive of New York City, performing over 3.3 million radiology studies across 131 facilities.
Orange Regional's integrated delivery network consists of Horton Medical Center, Arden Hill Hospital, and seven additional distributed imaging centers. It is one of a select few US health networks to have fully integrated Cerner HIS/RIS at all of their locations. All Orange Regional facilities are located within a sixty-mile area in Orange County, New York.
"We pride ourselves on being early-adopters of efficient, cutting-edge technology and that is just what Dynamic Imaging's IntegradWeb PACS provides," said Bob Diamond, chief information officer at Orange Regional Medical Center. "Once installation is complete, Dynamic Imaging's Web-based PACS will give Orange Regional an even higher-level of sophistication and collaboration-which ultimately enhances patient care for the residents of the Orange County area."
Orange Regional's facilities perform more than 200,000 imaging exams a year across its 450-bed network. Its state-of-the-art imaging pavilion, which is located at 75 Crystal Run Road, Middletown, NY, houses Orange County's first 64-slice CT, a 1.5T high-field open MRI, and multiple full field digital mammography systems. Orange Regional is doubling the size of their existing 100,000 square foot outpatient pavilion, and has embarked on an exciting new 354-bed hospital initiative. Planned for ground breaking in 2008, this facility will be the largest hospital in New York State from the Tappan Zee Bridge to Albany.
"Dynamic Imaging is excited to implement IntegradWeb PACS across Orange Regional," said Alex Jurovitsky, Dynamic Imaging's chief executive officer. "Orange Regional's commitment to providing the most advanced diagnostic imaging capabilities to its patients and referring physicians matches our passion for delivering outstanding service and innovative solutions to our customers."
Orange Regional is a second-generation PACS user, replacing their legacy system with IntegradWeb PACS. As part of this replacement PACS initiative, Orange Regional will migrate almost 15 TB of legacy PACS data to Dynamic Imaging's 100% Web-based PACS solution so that it can be easily accessed by doctors across the Orange Regional network.
"We are not your typical PACS user, as we have been through this before" added Gene Bernieri, the administrator of imaging services at Orange Regional. "Dynamic Imaging worked with us to understand our workflow, processes, and goals-and the demands of our radiologists-and then they architected a best-in-class system to meet our needs."
To learn more about IntegradWeb PACS, Dynamic Imaging will be exhibiting at the American Healthcare Radiology Administrators (AHRA) 34th Annual Meeting and Exposition in Las Vegas, Nevada from July 31 to August 2, 2006. Demonstrations will be available during the conference at AHRA Booth# 928.
