Dynamic Imaging IntegradWeb® PACS
Selected by St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital
Enterprise PACS Implementation Will Include Comprehensive
MEDITECH Integration
Allendale, NJ, June 2, 2006 — Dynamic Imaging, an established leader in Web-based image and information management, announced today that it has been chosen to implement IntegradWeb PACS at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital (SLCH) in New York State. SLCH’s multiple locations share a common MEDITECH architectural platform that IntegradWeb PACS will integrate with seamlessly for radiology information system messaging and electronic medical records (EMR) access.
“Implementing Dynamic Imaging’s IntegradWeb PACS at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital will allow us to electronically distribute images, make efficient use of radiologists’ time, instantly retrieve patient historical data, and continue our enhanced technology strategic planning,” said Renee Christiano, the director of imaging at SLCH.
Originally two separate hospitals, St. Luke’s and Cornwall Hospitals merged in 2002 to form SLCH, which has two main campuses, five off-site locations in the mid-Hudson region and performs over 130,000 annual radiology procedures. These sites mark the beginnings of a $100 million dollar renovation and expansion project to be executed over a ten-year timeframe.
Alex Jurovitsky, Dynamic Imaging's chief executive officer, said, “The impressive expansion underway at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital demonstrates their dedication to excellence. Dynamic Imaging shares a similar passion—continuing to offer the industry’s most attractive Web-based PACS and innovative services, such as our new Boost marketing program, to maximize our customer’s investment.”
“We recognize we are a referral service who must make our physicians happy,” said Joe Yacovone, M.D., the chairman of radiology at SLCH. “With IntegradWeb PACS, physicians can access our images remotely and that translates into optimal patient care.” IntegradWeb PACS has a leading Web-based PACS architecture that eliminates time and place constraints, and includes intuitive referring physician access to radiology results. Referring physicians may opt for automatic, encrypted e-mails of images and reports, making access to results a simple click away. Dr. Yacovone continued, “We have twenty radiologists at multiple sites. With IntegradWeb, they can easily access the images, regardless of their geographic location, so that cases can be interpreted with particular expertise through our specialists in pediatric, neurological, nuclear, and body imaging.”
"The IntegradWeb PACS platform is extremely manageable and flexible, delivering on its promise to enhance patient care and physician support," said Jane Lake, SLCH’s director of information technology. Dynamic Imaging IntegradWeb PACS was selected over PACS offerings from three major modality vendors, based on its functionality and versatility.
The company was also recognized for its attention to customer service. “Dynamic Imaging brought us to their headquarters and made an effort to get to know us personally. That was impressive,” said Dr. Yacovone. Christiano added, “We feel like we have Dynamic Imaging’s commitment. They’ve been so responsive, listening to us and accommodating our needs, and that’s something you don’t get from just any vendor.”
“Bottom line, the main reason we chose Dynamic Imaging is that IntegradWeb PACS is truly a Web-based product that works seamlessly with our MEDITECH system. Other PACS products we investigated couldn’t make those claims,” said Dr. Yacovone. IntegradWeb PACS will be integrated to SLCH’s “mixed” MEDITECH environment of both MAGIC and Client/Server architectural platforms, as well as Patient Care Inquiry (PCI) for EMR access.
Dynamic Imaging IntegradWeb PACS may be experienced May 31 – June 2, 2006, at the 2006 International MUSE Conference, Booth #329, in Orlando, Florida. MUSE, or Medical Users Software Exchange, is designed as a communication and support network for facilities and vendors working within the MEDITECH health care information system (HCIS). Additional information regarding MUSE may be found at www.museweb.org.
