Dynamic Imaging IntegradWeb MAMMO Showcased
at SBI
Standards-based Implementation of IHE Mammography
Profile
Takes Center Stage
Allendale,
NJ, April 12, 2007-Dynamic Imaging (www.dynamic-imaging.com),
an established leader in Web-based image and information management,
announced today that the acclaimed, industry-standard IntegradWeb(r)
MAMMO will be exhibited at the Society of Breast Imaging's (SBI's)
8th Postgraduate Course at the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa
in Hollywood, Florida, April 14-17, Booth #219. Dynamic Imaging
will also participate in Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise's
(IHE's) demonstration of the new IHE Mammography Profile.
This is the first industry-wide demonstration of the IHE Mammography
Profile since testing and validation of the profile initially
occurred at the 2007 IHE Connect-a-thon held in January 2007
in Chicago, Illinois. IHE offered invitations to participate
in the IHE Mammography Profile demonstration at SBI exclusively
to vendors that successfully validated their implementation of
the profile at the 2007 IHE Connect-a-thon. Confirming their
status in an elite group of vendors, Dynamic Imaging successfully
tested and validated their implementation of the IHE Mammography
Profile at the 2007 IHE Connect-a-thon, including the actors
of Image Manager/Image Archive and Image Display.
"Dynamic Imaging is honored to participate in IHE's first
public demonstration of the IHE Mammography Profile at SBI," said
Alex Natanzon, Dynamic Imaging's vice president of advanced technologies
and applications. "Support of IHE is central to the engineering
of IntegradWeb MAMMO. Based upon our results at the IHE Connect-a-thon,
we're proud to be on the cutting edge of digital mammography
integration into traditional radiology PACS."
IntegradWeb MAMMO's digital mammography capabilities include
complete digital mammography-specific workflows that include
customizable reading layouts and sequences for any third-party
full-field digital mammography system, as well as automatic retrieval
and display of priors. Also included is support for digital mammography
computer aided detection (CAD). CAD markings are applied to the
original digital mammography study and can be archived for future
reference. Because digital mammography studies are treated like
all other modalities, users can take advantage of the rich functionality
of IntegradWeb PACS to include anywhere access, saving key images
for referring physicians' print pages, as well as portable data
for imaging (PDI)-compliant CD burning and importing outside
PDI CDs.
IntegradWeb MAMMO also includes AutoFetch, which speeds local
and remote reading workflow for digital mammography interpretation
as well as for all other modality types. AutoFetch is enabled
via IntegradWeb PACS' Study List. It automatically retrieves
prioritized unread studies and their relevant priors to the local
workstation regardless of location and optimizes performance
regardless of the network bandwidth. These studies are temporarily
stored to local memory, not the local cache, thus safeguarding
the temporary storage of protected health information (PHI).
Competing PACS approaches such as pre-fetching or auto-caching
that store to the local cache may leave PHI data exposed to potential
HIPAA violations.
