GE Healthcare Centricity PACS-IW Named “Best in KLAS 2009”
Annual Report Shows 97% Would Buy GE Web-based PACS Solution Again
BARRINGTON, Ill. – Dec 28, 2009 –For the second consecutive year, GE Healthcare’s web-based PACS suite, Centricity PACS-IW, has achieved “Best in KLAS” recognition against its peers in the highly competitive PACS (picture archiving and communication system) category. Centricity PACS-IW received the highest score awarded in both customer likelihood to buy the solution again (97%) and product quality (8.09).
The 2009 Top 20 Best in KLAS Awards: Software & Professional Services report, comparing nearly 900 software products and service offerings across more than 50 categories, is a high-level, summary report, which gives providers an overview of performance ratings for vendors offering software, professional services and medical equipment to the healthcare industry. Ratings are compiled from evaluations received during the 12-month period prior to its publication from healthcare professionals in North America. This year’s report used 15,375 individual surveys to compile the data.
“KLAS report rankings are extremely important to us because they’re generated through feedback from our customers,” said Don Woodlock, vice president and general manager of GE Healthcare IT. “When we’re not scoring well, it’s a call to action. When we score well, it just lets us know that we’re communicating with our customers and incorporating their feedback and day to day experiences into each product revision we release. Our work with PACS-IW, like our work with all of the Centricity family, is a true partnership with our customers. It’s only through their honest, unfiltered feedback that we’re able to deliver the solution they’ve come to rely upon to deliver excellence in patient care.”
