Dynamic Imaging DICOM and IHE

Dynamic Imaging continues to stand with the pioneers of the DICOM committee(s), as well as at the forefront of Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE). This allows us to lead the way for Web-based PACS in the introduction of standards-based technology and solutions, as well as participating in emerging areas that will impact the marketplace in the near future.

In fact, it may be hard to believe, but there are some Web-based PACS vendors that do not participate at all in activities planned by DICOM and IHE – in contrast, Andrei Leontiev, Dynamic Imaging’s Director of Product Management, Standards and Interoperability, actively participates on several DICOM and IHE committees. Presently, he is an active participant on the DICOM Standards Committee and DICOM Working Groups 6 (Base Standard) and 10 (Strategic Planning), as well as participates on the IHE Radiology Planning and Technical Committees, Strategic Development Committee and IT Infrastructure Planning and Technical Committees. Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE)
Similar to our support of DICOM, Dynamic Imaging strongly believes in support of IHE, to include participation in standards development, commentary, and participation in the annual IHE Connectathon. These activities contribute to the development of a more powerful IntegradWeb PACS that enables tight integration and protects your investment as applications continue to increasingly embrace IHE standards. Dynamic Imaging encourages you to review the IHE Integration Statements of all of your vendors under consideration, in addition to HL7 and DICOM conformance statements. We are incredibly proud of our IHE capabilities and have one of the strongest IHE implementations available in the PACS marketplace today.

Dynamic Imaging constantly evaluates new IHE Integration Profiles as they are developed by IHE committees for the sustained benefit of our current and future customers. Of interesting note, at the most recent IHE Connectathon held in January 2007, Dynamic Imaging successfully tested IntegradWeb for compliance with 15 actors, across 9 IHE Integration Profiles.
